Choosing a wrapping and sealing route
Shrink wrapping equipment includes L-sealers, chamber wrappers, sleeve wrappers and heat shrink tunnels. These are not interchangeable: product dimensions, collation, film, seal position, heat route, finished-pack standard and throughput determine which rental route should be checked.
L-sealers support a separate sealing and tunnel process, while chamber machines combine sealing and shrinking for suitable batch and lower-output work.
Sleeve sealing can suit stable multipacks and transit packs, with or without a tray, where collation and film support the required finish.
Tunnel aperture, conveyor speed, film response, electrical load, heat, ventilation, footprint and access must be checked with the complete pack.

An L-sealer encloses a suitable product in film before shrinking, while a sleeve wrapper typically applies a film sleeve around a stable product or collation. The required enclosure, presentation and transit performance guide the choice.
A compatible tunnel may be required with an L-sealer or sleeve wrapper. The sealing machine, film, tunnel aperture, conveyor speed, electrical supply, ventilation and finished pack must be reviewed together.
Decide whether the required result is a fully enclosed retail pack, a sleeve around a stable group or a printed sleeve label on a container. These outcomes need different equipment and film arrangements. A flow wrapper shown in a wider machinery range does not by itself imply a heat-shrink process; check the intended film and finishing operation.
Send the actual smallest and largest packs, any tray or support and the intended film specification. Observe whether the seal lands on a corner, loose product moves before shrinking or the collation distorts during transfer. A good-looking single sample is not enough if normal dimensional variation moves the pack outside the sealing or tunnel window.
Use approved examples to define seal continuity, film presentation, barcode readability, pack stability and acceptable cosmetic marks. Inspect the cooled pack as well as its immediate tunnel exit appearance. For heat-sensitive products or packaging, the permitted exposure and suitability need an application review; a successful film shrink alone does not establish product acceptability.
Check whether the quotation covers the sealer, compatible tunnel, infeed/outfeed support, required film and any format parts. Record settings and replenishment tasks from the agreed trial, together with available electrical supply and the safe operating instructions. Compare the L-sealer, sleeve-wrapper and tunnel routes before requesting dates; availability remains subject to confirmation.
