Heat-shrink process compatibility

Heat shrink tunnel hire checked with the sealer, film and pack

A heat shrink tunnel is one stage in a complete wrapping process. The sealer or sleeve wrapper, film response, tunnel aperture, conveyor speed, temperature profile, pack stability, electrical load and ventilation must work together.

Upstream machine

Identify the L-sealer, sleeve wrapper or other film application stage and its discharge height and speed.

Pack and film

Provide finished pack dimensions, product sensitivity, film specification and the required shrink and seal appearance.

Site conditions

Share power, heat and ventilation considerations, floor space, access, conveyor interfaces, output and project dates.

Common hire questions

Can I hire only a heat shrink tunnel?

A tunnel-only enquiry can be reviewed where the upstream sealing method, film, pack, conveyor interface, speed and site utilities are known.

Will any shrink film work in any tunnel?

No. Film type and gauge, temperature, dwell time, airflow and the product determine the usable process window.

What electrical details are needed?

Provide the available supply, isolator details and site constraints. The exact load and connection requirements must be confirmed for the selected tunnel.
